About

The Maine Country Music Hall of Fame was founded in 1978. In 2008 the physical Museum was founded and was established in the lower level of the Silver Spur in Mechanic Falls, Maine where the grand opening was held. The 3000-square-foot space is an amazing showcase for thousands of historic memorabilia accumulated over the decades, many of which were, and continue to be, donated by living Maine Country Music Hall of Fame inductees and their heirs.

The beautiful displays of guitars, banjos, fiddles and other instruments, as well as costumes, photos, LP recordings and more, tell the history of Maine country music and bring to life the memory and musical contributions of its inductees, which are some of the finest country musicians in the United States and the world.

The Museum is the only physical country music hall of fame museum east of Nashville! There are currently over 175 inductees with the annual induction ceremony taking place every May at the Silver Spur. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Hall of Fame Museum is open year round by appointment with guided tours hosted by a Hall of Fame Inductee. Groups of any size and age are welcome. There is plenty of free parking and the Museum is wheelchair accessible.
